Why the hell does everyone hate this tune so much? It's a tongue in cheek take on a song that many artists have covered - the Beatles or how about that kick ass Buddy Guy version on Festival Express?

Yeah, it's sexist but so what? It's all in fun and sometimes some of the points can be true about women - not ALL women, SOME women. It's a light hearted fun tune with a groovy groove. What's wrong with that? The 5-19-74 version rocks!

As for worst song status - get real! Worse than I will take you home coming out of space or Tons of steel? PUHLEASE

First of all, I seldom pay attention to lyrics.

Second, I agree this is a good song. It features full-bodied riffing.

I like Money Money even less now! It's not so funny any more. Bob Weir sold out. Phil's soundboards are distributed exclusively by the GWB cronies at CLEAR CHANNEL Entertainment...

I listened to a little bit of it and then skipped to the next track. I couldn't take it. It's not the lyrics; the music just sounds disjointed. I might pick it as worst of all time. Some others I never wanted to hear include Blowjob, Long Way to Hear This, Desolation Show, Black Petered, Farther from Me, and I Need a Geritol.

Flack Beeter, that's funny!

I remember a story about some woman calling up Jerry for tickets. She had already gotten tickets from him but she needed more, I guess. In the ensuing conversation, she blurted out, "You play Black Peter for money!"

She got the tickets.

Oh, BTW, I went to 37 shows from 1981-95 - I was not one of those hard-core Deadheads who went to hundreds of shows. I've heard a few good Miracles, just not when I was there. I just found it annoying as a song, same with Corinna, no matter how much they jammed on it.

All right all right. To each their own. I only like a couple of Brent songs but that's beside the point. My point is I don't understand why Money Money is ranked as the WORST GD song of all time. I love the tune, it's fun.
